We are excited to announce the first of Mother Muse's Community dinner series. They are donation based dinners centered around conversation on social justice issue topics and local consumerism. Open to anyone over the age of 21 (alcohol will be served).
Our first dinner will be centered around femininity, how today's society views both femininity and masculinity in todays society, and how both m*n and wom*n can embrace this in their every day lives. Joyell Arvella, founder of harp & sword will be leading the evening and creating an intentional safe space for courageous dialogue while we enjoy a homemade meal, made with ingredients from local businesses. On the menu is stuffed acorn squash, salad, sides (vegetables from Moon Valley Farm), wine from Basignani Vineyard, and tea from Wight Tea Co. Accommodations can be made for vegetarian and vegan options.
Donations will go towards harp & sword's day retreat, rooted. harp & sword is a consulting agency using restorative justice to advance racial and gender equity impacting women and girls of color. Joyell will also be taking over our Instagram the week before the dinner to give us insight into this topic.
**Guests will also be entered in a giveaway filled with products from small businesses and makers such as EaarthBones and Wight Tea Co.**
This group will be kept intentionally small, so please register early! Address and meal preference will be sent after RSVPing. 5-8 PM.
